How Pony Oaties Began Vicki Freeman is an Oregon horse lover who trail rides as well as shows her paint mare Tie Dyed Silk. A long time animal lover and cook, Vicki tells the story of how Pony Oaties began; "I started making horse treats for my own horse, about one year ago. With lots of time in my kitchen and plenty of experimentation, I finished a recipe for treats that my horse just loved. I wanted to make a treat that would be healthy, entirely natural and that I could give to my horse everyday with confidence. Soon my buddies at the barn learned about my special treats and how my horse just loved them. They wanted to provide an all-natural, healthy treat to their horses, too! So, I started baking extra treats for my barn budddies to feed to their horses. Soon after even the most finicky horses were nickering for them. After that Pony Oaties was born!"
